Abstract

The beginning of the self-oscillating process of the large steam slugs (hyperslugs) generation when water and glycerin solution boiling in the straitened conditions depends not only from glycerin content, but also from the channel size and the level of heat flux in the evaporating section. A number of empirical dependences to define the process and to reflect the influence of the main regime and design parameters are suggested.
