The article deals with the process of formation of cross-cultural competence through the prism of the main theses of the axiological approach. In this regard, the content of the process of foreign-language teaching of future specialists, namely, its professional-value orientation, which is considered by the authors as one of the basic pedagogical conditions for the successful formation of cross-cultural competence, is studied.
