Abstract

We perform an empirical analysis of factors that promote innovations at the firm level. We measure innovations with the number of patents received by a firm. The results are based on the panel logit model estimation. Among other factors, FDI has a significant and robust indirect effect on innovations. The results are based on the panel logit model estimation using Orbis data.
