Current two-stage technology of iron and steel production is primarily based on the hot reducing gases, which is associated with the release of gas and dust and might cause environmental problems.From the analysis of reduction-and-melting metallurgical processes a new technology for reduction smelting metal oxide - carbonaceous single-component burden is proposed. The feature of it is the formation of structure that ensures complete recovery of metals and exclude metal carburizing.Reduction smelting metal oxide - carbonaceous single-component burden is implemented and stainless steel samples (without intermediate conversion stages - iron and metallized intermediates) are directly obtained.
