The article summarizes the experience of analyzing the work of internal directions in an institution related to state and municipal administration bodies. Depending on the levels of interaction within the organization, the author proposes to divide all analysis into three levels: the level of indirect indicators and the external environment of the organization, the main (the level of calculation of indicators in this area of work, analysis of planned and reporting indicators in this area of work, etc.) and the level of «feedback». The work emphasizes the importance of conducting sociological research, as it allows you to identify the causes of certain problems in the work within the organization. But, in some cases, it is advisable to conduct sociological surveys among the population in order to more objectively evaluate the work of this institution.
