Abstract

Search of rational composition and quantity of fluxing agents for sintering of chromite fines of Donckoy GOK is the focus of present research. Results of sintering experiments of chromite fines with different fluxes (silicate and alumina-silicate clays, microsilica) and their influence on technical and economic performance are given in this article. Agglomerate yield and strength characteristics are established and productivity of sintering process is calculated on the basis of experimental data. Pilot sintering experiments are carried out at R&D Center of Aksu ferroalloy plant (JSC «TNK Kazchrome», ERG).
