The article presents the results of an empirical study of psychological mindedness in connection with the personality traits of the «Big Five» (n=149). The connection of psychological mindedness with extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness and openness to experience is revealed. The specifi city of the relationship of psychological intelligence with basic personality traits in women, men and in different age groups was found. It was determined that women (mean age 33.2±8.7; n = 94) had higher indicators of psychological reasonableness compared to men (mean age 33.9±10.1; n = 55). Participants with higher education have elevated scores on the “Belief in the benefi ts of discussing one’s problems” in compare with participants without higher education. The differences between the different age groups are qualitative rather than quantitative. The «older» age group has no relationship of psychological mindedness with the desire to cooperate and understand others.
