Abstract
The article focuses on theoretical foundations of conference translation, analyzes the place of conference translation in the existing classifications of translation. The authors establish the requirements for this type of translation; identify the difficulties the translator comes across during conference translation, and examine the means for efficient organization of educational process and self-training in conference translation.
