Mathematical description is given for different kinetic stages of copper deoxidation by coal during reduction phase of copper fire refining. It is shown that process rate is controlled by carbon mass-transfer in melt and that metal reduction is occurring by 2-stage scheme.For copper deoxidation intensification of fine coal injection into liquid metal bath proven useful by means of inert or natural gas.
