Abstract
The processes of formation of torn inter-block boundaries are studied using the analysis of the patterns of flexural extinction contours present on the electron microscopic images of nanothin (~ 80 nm) spatial dissipative structures (SDS) of hexagonal selenium − nanothin crystals of hexagonal selenium with elastic rotational curvature of the lattice around [001]. The effect of the disorientation vector sign variation along torn inter-block torsion boundaries was observed. A model is being developed for the formation of inter-block torsion boundaries in nanothin SDS of selenium, the lattice of which undergoes an elastic rotational curvature around [001].
