The results of dump clay biological recultivation after the development of alluvial gold deposits in the Middle Urals are given. The microbiological preparation containing active cultures of nitrogen-fixing and phosphorus dissolving microorganism were used. This technology does not require soil transportation; chemical fertilizer provides restoration of ecological balance at lowest cost. The aim of this work is the studying of experimental crops transformation of Festuca pratensis Huds. and F. arundinacea Schreb. on the clay subsrates (Shuralino-Jagodnogoe deposits). The crops were in 2-variants: experimental - clay + microbiological preparation, control - clay, 3 plots in each of them (5 m × 5 m). The projective cover, cover crop, density of shoots, species diversity and other factors were estimated. The data of the spatial, age and morphological structure of crops over a 10-year period are presented in this study. It is shown that the introduction of microbial preparation, contributes to the conservation of seedlings, a positive effect on the plants growth and development, biomass increases, the recovery of biodiversity. It is found that species showed significant differences (p < 0.05) in morphological parameters of generative shoots (length of inflorescence, number of flowers, the weight of the shoot). The formation of Festuca pratensis and Festuca arundinacea populations occurred at different rates, depending on the biological characteristics of the species. It is found that the cultures longevity in experimental crops corresponds to life span in the natural herbage. The using of microbiological preparation has a positive effect during the biological recultivation of clay industrial substrates.
