A method of high-speed high-precision electrochemical shaping (HSHPES) of complex tools and machine components, which is based on impulse cyclic electrochemical dimensional machining in the flow of a neutral aqueous electrolyte, was developed. This technology allows one to process with maximum efficiency, high precision (up to several microns) and low roughness of the surface (10-100 nm) hard and tough high-alloy steels, used in toolmaking, dies and press molds. It can be applied to special alloys and titanium alloys for manufacturing of turbine blades, and to different composite materials, including intermetallic compounds, oxide-metal materials, hard alloys on the basis of carbides, nitrides, oxycarbonitrides of transition metals.
