The results of comparative studies of the thermoluminescence (TL) of the anion-deficient single crystals of corundum (α-Al 2O 3-δ) irradiated by stationary in time and pulsed X-ray radiation with nanosecond pulse duration in the dose range D = 0.002-100 Gy with variable pulsed dose rate P P were presented. The most significant of the found features of the TL properties of α-Al 2O 3-δ under pulsed irradiation are lack of saturation of dose dependences at D = 1-100 Gy for TL responses of the main dosimetric and "chrome" peaks at 450 and 580 K respectively; appearance at D ≥ 40 Gy and growth of high-temperature TL peak at 830 K; redistribution with increasing P P and D of accumulated light sums in high-temperature TL peaks at 580 and 830 K. It is shown also that there are actual possibilities of application of α-Al 2O 3-δ for registration of absorbed doses in pulsed radiation fields with the considerable pulsed dose rate.
