Abstract
The author discusses modern plutocracy and transformation of capitalist hegemony from political-economic and macrosociological perspective and demonstrates global financialization of international political and economic relations. The article is based on historical comparison and highlights similarities in the formation of capitalist hegemonies. The author analyzes the advantages and weaknesses of the possible new global hegemons - EU and China. In the final part, the author outlines Russian plutocratic regime’s development and prospects.
