The article presents an analysis of the practices of measuring trust in the Russian system of higher education. It allowed to formulate a number of methodological principles in the study of trust in higher education: to study the level of trust of all subjects of higher education; the degree of trust; expectations and immediate actions of the subjects of trust; reasons and a wide range of factors affecting the level of trust. The author concludes that it is necessary to use a mixed strategy of research in the process of trust analysis.
