The article presents an analysis of the works of Russian religious philosophers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries with regard to the problems of property. Among the analyzed works the author identifi es two opposing points of view. The author analyses in detail those texts of Russian religious philosophers that argue for the private property. It is concluded that most Russian philosophers considered private property compatible with the Christian ideal and linked the relative principle of ownership with the necessity of subordinating the absolute principle of a moral personality.
