Abstract
The author considers the region to be a social and cultural phenomenon, described as d as a ‘lifelike space’ and ‘heritage production’. The concepts ‘region’ and ‘cultural landscape’ are considered in to be closely connected. The cultural values and practices, selective heritage as well as mythology are supposed to be the characteristics of the specific regional development in the context of Human Geography.
