Using the Flaman problem, a mathematical model of the process of cold strip rolling was developed to determine the length of the deformation zone and the rolling force, taking into account: the shape of the diagram of normal contact stresses; elastic deformation of the rolls and elastic-plastic deformation of the strip; the influence of the shape of the contact surface on the length of the zones of elastic loading and unloading of the strip. An estimate of the errors associated with the assumptions made in the derivation of the known dependencies is given.
