Abstract
FIELD: glass.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to germanosilicate glass fibres. Germanosilicate glass fibre is exposed to air beam of electrons with energy 10 MeV, at 1,000 mcA in several stages, reducing dose load up to 20, 30, 40 and 50 kGy with intermediate annealing of glass fibers at the room temperature for 2-3 hours after each stage of radiation.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of the level of radiation-induced absorption, high transmission properties and reliability of the Ge-SiO2 glass fibers, operating in radiation fields.
