Abstract

On the example of 80 main organic solvents, a comparative analysis of the VNIIPO and ME-TNO methods has carried out for vapor cloud explosions (VCE) in closed rooms. The specific safe volume of the room is chosen as the compari- son parameter. The correlation between the results of calculations for these methods is found. The 3-th class VCE of ME-TNO with the correction factor 1,42 can be used to categorize production facilities for explosion and fire hazard.
