Abstract

The paper is devoted to the comparative analysis of the means of emotional influence used in pre-election speeches of M. Obama and A. Romney — the wives of presidential candidates in the USA. The author enumerates rhetorical, lexical and stylistic means of emotional influence and shows their specific role in the examples from the speeches.
