Abstract

The article analyzes the intertextual interactions between Michel Houellebecq’s novel “The Elementary Particles” and Aldous Huxley’s novel “Brave New World”. The article treats both the direct appeals in Houellebecq’s novel to Huxley’s “Brave New World” together with Huxley’s figure in general as a cultural symbol and also the more complicated, not so evident correlations between the novels at the levels of sense, motives, images, etc.
