This paper considers role and place of discipline “History of Science and Technology” in the paradigm of education of the industrial and postindustrial civilization. It shows the main features of the evolution of the educational system in modern times to the present, and especially in studying history of science and technology. It reveals the value of this course in building skills of future professionals.
