The article considers problems of value and price determination in modern market economy. The authors suggest considering price and value determination as a process, running on gradually through four phases of social reproduction: in the process of production itself, where only manufacturing price is formed, in distribution, in the process of circulation and finally in the process of consuming, where the final market price is formed. Into the production price of Karl Marx the authors include the index, which corrects the price in accordance with consumer preferences and other factors affecting price and value of goods. The authors consider use value to be primary, it historically and genetically precedes exchanged value and is a substratum - a base of the latter.
