Abstract

The existing configuration of wall and refining combined oxy-fuel burners on modern arc steel-smelting furnaces DSP-120 of VAI-Fuchs company at NLMK-Ural in Revda leaves the occupied zone of the bath due to the asymmetric arrangement of refining burners. In the process of melting, in order to uniformly melt and to avoid over-oxidation of the metal in the hot zone, one of the combined burners is forced to turn off. In order to eliminate the refrigerated zone and uniform heating of the metal charge, it is planned to replace the wall panel with a wall burner with a wall panel with a refining burner.
