Abstract

This study aimed to compare two methods of DNA extraction. Twenty three samples of food products were used during DNA extraction. Laboratory including PCR machine Multichannel cycler “Tertsik-терцик”, spectrophotometer, horizontal gel electrophoresis apparatus & power supply, UV transluminator, and a number of reagents were used. From our results, we noticed that the sodium dodecyl sulfate-SDS based method was better than Cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide-CTAB based method. On the other hand, among the samples used the presence of transgenes related to herbicide tolerant, neomycin/kanamycin antibiotic resistance, enzyme 5-enolpyruvyl-shikimate-3-phosphate synthase-CP4 EPSPS genes and 35s promoter from different species and nos terminator were detected.
