ВЗАИМООТНОШЕНИЯ ЕВРОПЕЙСКОГО СОЮЗА И ТАДЖИКИСТАНА В 1991 -2007 ГОДАХ

The article dwells on the international cooperation between the European Union and the Republic of Tajikistan after the dissolution of the USSR referring to the period of Tajikistan independence in 19912007 before the adoption of the EU strategy for Central Asia. It is underscored that in 2007, the European Union adopted the "New Partnership Strategy" for the Central Asian countries, which became the most important official document reflecting the EU foreign policy in the Central Asian region, including such areas as security, Education, democracy, the rule of law and human for rights. It is indicated that with the adoption of the relevant strategy, the relationship between the two regions has risen to a new level, strengthened mutually beneficial cooperation both at the regional level (EU + CA) and in the bilateral format. Designing on the premise of sources of research beset with the EU, Russia and Tajikistan, the author analyzes interaction between the European Union and the Republic of Tajikistan from 1991 to 2007 and shows that despite the fluctuations of their foreign policy in certain periods, deepening of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union interests of both parties. After achieving independence, the Republic of Tajikistan has consistently established relations with the European Union. The Interaction of the Republic of Tajikistan with the European Union reached a new level after the signing of the partnership and Cooperation Agreement in 2004.In the course of study the author found that the cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union within the framework of various integration associations is of auxiliary character. However, the agreements concluded between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union within the framework of international and regional organizations constitute a substantial additional lever for the protection of their territorial integrity and sovereignty, which in Modern geopolitical situation becomes an important factor in ensuring stability in the Central Asian region and in Europe as a whole.
