Resumen
The article is devoted to the study of the discursive practices of collective (self) identifi cation of the Ural workers. The methodological basis of the theory of discourse goes in line with the ideas of M. Foucault. Practices that repeat the formulas of authoritative Soviet discourse, in particular from the Soviet press, and at the same time produce the author’s identity of the text are considered. The study was carried out on the basis of the materials that had not been previously studied - the autobiographical texts of Uralmashzavod employees.
