Resumen
As for the practice of oil production, magnesium balls act as valves that temporarily close wells and dissolve under the influence of drilling fluids. It is also noted that magnesium is a low density metal. The aim of the work is to develop and study by means of simulation a method for manufacturing magnesium balls aimed at making them heavier. The developed method is described; it proposes to make the balls in the form of a two-layer body. The shell of the ball is made of a degradable material (magnesium or its alloy), inside the shell is a ball made of a non-degradable material, such as steel. The two-point boundary value problem for die forging of a composite work piece in order to produce a ball in the form of a two-layer body was set up. The stress-strain state of a composite work piece during the die forging process was considered. The loss of the shell wall stability was stated. It has been established that a shell with a small wall thickness cannot be used to prevent this phenomenon.
