The research is devoted to the use of the simulation system Plant Simulation from Siemens to improve the efficiency of logistics processes based on the built-in optimizer that uses genetic algorithms. The problem, which has been posed and solved, is to develop a pilot simulation model, which includes the technological, logistic and business process (HR processes). With the using of the developed simulation model and optimizer has been found the best solutions for the length of the applied train for loading and feeding interval of vans in terms of the given optimality criteria: minimization of the mean and maximum van downtime. In both cases, has been obtained a significant improvement in the quality of the processes in comparison with the original values.
