Resumen

The largest population of the wild reindeer in Russia is in the Taimyr region of Krasnoyarsk area and 40% of the domesticated reindeer in Russia is located in the Yamal-Nenez region as a central portion of the husbandry in Russia. The pasturage of the wild reindeer on the Taimyr peninsula is compared with one of the domesticated reindeer on the Yamal peninsula. Both Yamal and Taimyr peninsulas occupy the northernmost portions north the Polar Circle of West and Central Siberia, in a permafrost zone. Exploration areas are stipulated by the climate and nature similarity according to their geography position. Object of our explorations is a reindeer pastures vegetation cover and its resource potential at the snowless period. Migration ways of domesticated Jamal herds are strictly defined long ago. But the migration ways of the herds cross under some shortage of pastures often, with overgrazing during one season repeatedly. Lichen foods occurred widely at the beginning of the last century on the peninsula of Jamal, but disappeared to the beginning of ХХ1-st century, practically. The portions of the lichen tundra shortened 3,5-4 times, about 13% of ones bared as sandy spots. Vegetation cover condition in the Yamal region corresponds to the domesticated reindeer pasturage as a human being activity resulted in worsen of vegetation cover significantly in 1933–2000. Green foods as a whole lessened 1,5-2 times and herbage as a whole lessened about 10 times as some results of the multiplicity of the domesticated reindeer herds during last 25 years. All-time movement inside the places of summering, a movement pattern change in the Taimyr region as a whole (west-central-east – by the territory and yearly) is a phenomenon of ecologically stipulated adaptation to the environment, which prevents overgrazing. The example of the over pasturing in the Jamal region supposes greatly a lack of Taimyr summer pastures food potential presented in 1970-s, but perspective of wild reindeer population number is preserved.
