The main goal of the project is the development of new classes of proton conductors with the Ruddlesden-Popper structure BaMInO4 capable of dominating proton transport at medium temperatures (T <700°C). Such materials are potentially capable for being used as an electrolyte membrane in medium-temperature fuel cells FC - highly efficient and environmentally friendly energy sources.
