The research interest to the problem of volunteers’ preparation to volunteer activity is actualized during the last years because of some reasons. Form the one side it is substantiated by the idea of service quality rise in social sphere, since preliminary education of volunteers promotes volunteer activity efficiency in general. Form the other side, education of volunteers is an efficient method of motivation and encouragement of them. From the third side, the specificity of modern social problems requires certain competences which can be formed only in process of purposeful training. On the base of sociological survey’s results in the form of structural interview conducted with representatives of non-commercial organization of the industrial city, the volunteers’ training components are analyzed: technologies of volunteers’ attraction and selection, educational programs and trainings, system of motivation. The paper underlines the urgent problems which spoil each component. It is shown that non-commercial organizations of big city have not enough resources for trainings of volunteers, and this fact influences quality of social services, efficiency and quickness of their assignment.
