On the materials by mass media devoted to professional activity of firemen, and firemen teams with professional holiday there are some lexical markers which can be considered as factors of professional choice and rise of fireman profession’s image. This article contains a double-sided lexical model of representations about the profession, defines its role in professional choice by individual and formation of positive attitude to professional activity of fireman. The author presents the results of research aimed at exposing of the profession’s choice motives and system of life orientations of cadets from Institute of EMERCOM. Obtained by the survey of R.V. Ovcharova and methodology by M. Rockich the data confirm the urgency of lexical markers which include in the present model, for people who have chosen this profession. The analysis and comparison of content-analysis results of printed texts and survey of cadets allow asserting that vocal means used for describing of everyday work of firemen and celebrating texts have active character. The double-sided model discovers the characterof lexical means influence on professional choice and professional self-identification and can be understood as universal mean in formation and rise of the profession’s image.
