Resumo
The article analyzes the life and creative work of M. Voloshin from the point of view of the unity of a poet's life and their native land. The analysis is made referring to the collections of poems devoted to Cimmeria and the memoirs of the writer's contemporaries in which he is represented as a genius loci. The author maintains that there was a strong interconnection and mutual influence between the poet and his land (its relief, history, and mythology), as Voloshin and Cimmeria were eternal companions. Focusing on the fact that it is impossible for a poet to come into being without a motherland, the author also focuses on the impossibility for Koktebel to exist without Voloshin.
