An important requirement for the traffic safety conditions, tractors with trailers and semitrailers is the maximum value of the lateral deviation in the transverse vibrations (wobbling) of the trailer. This type of violation of stability of motion increases overall traffic lane of the vehicle, contributing to its slide sideways and can pose a threat to traffic safety as the most tractor train and oncoming and overtaking traffic. The article discusses the influence on the stability of motion of tractor-transport unit consisting of a semi-mounted axle trailer of kinematic parameters, in particular changes in the ratio of eccentricity (offset pivot point of the turntable relative to the wheel axle front wheel carts) and the base of said trolley, when selecting necessary additional load the rear wheels tractor. It is established that the critical speed of a tractor trailer depends on the value of clearances in the coupling, stiffness of tires, suspension design, and to a large extent on the geometric parameters of the trailer (base, removal of the drawbar, etc.). Evaluation of stability of motion of the tractor trains with a semi-mounted two-axle trailers provide additional loading of the drive wheels of the tractor by moving the pivot point of the platform body of the trailer along the base of the front wheel of the cart can be carried out similarly.
