Resumo

The study deals with the archaeological objects of the settlement Nizyamy VIII of the Bronze Age. The site is located on the Lower Ob region in Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra (the North of Western Siberia). In the settlement the remains of two dwellings were excavated as well as the collection of pottery and stone tools including their waste production. Household ware shows a similarity with the Varpaul complexes of the taiga Ob-Irtyshye, but the presence of figured-stamped patterns and ceramic stamps for their application can attribute the settlement Nizyamy VIII to the earliest monuments of the Lozva type in the Lower Ob region. Local features of the studied monument are detected in the absence of ceramic sinkers for net which are typical for the Lozva complexes of the river Konda, as well as in the preservation of archaic counterblow technique of splitting of quartz raw materials which are found in large amounts in gravel depositions. Dating things in some layers with ceramics of the Lozva type in Susgun IIa (Lower Irtysh) and in Old Katysh (Konda) are represented by small ceramic copies of the celts with the frontal eye, pikes with carved feathers as well as the mold form for a socketed celt. The products listed above received a distribution in post-Seima period of the Bronze Age. The settlement Nizyamy VIII functioned, apparently, at the beginning of the specified period
