Resumo
The purpose of this research is to review the problems of the effective employment of the graduates majoring in Innovation Studies. As the Unified State Exam is not strictly capable of assessing students abilities to succeed in the above-mentioned field of study, the authors present a scheme for the preliminary personal testing, the ongoing support and the consistent career guidance of future university graduates. It will allow one to train the close-knit teams (microgroups) that have different skills and can solve the company problems of innovative development in an effective manner. The paper examines the readiness of bachelor and master’s degree students majoring in Innovation Studies to participate in non-standard projects and demonstrate their abilities to take risks and work in an uncertain environment. To classify the survey findings, the concept of the risk-based type of person is introduced. This term means the level of personal readiness to face a risk in an unknown situation. The research reveals that only half of respondents can be promising in the field of innovative activity.
