Resumo
The article is devoted to the problem of China and Chinese’s image creation in Russian folk consciousness in the 2nd half of the 19th - early 20th century. The author analyzes the sources and factors of this process, the main characteristic features of the image of China, and the role of ethnic stereotypes in its structure.
