At an experimental installation that allows simulating the heat treatment process of Kachkanar fluxed pellets as applied to the OK-108 conveyor machine, studies were conducted to study the influence of various factors on the metallurgical properties of pellets. A technique has been created and implemented that allows to determine the optimal parameters for firing pellets in conditions close to industrial. In this case, an effective method of searching for parameters using an active experiment conducted according to a pre-compiled plan was used. The determination of these parameters was carried out by the method of factor experiment. Based on the results of the experiments, regression equations were obtained that relate the pellet quality indices to their heating time in the range of moderate temperatures, temperature and duration of firing, as well as the required size, which can significantly increase their metallurgical properties. Using the results obtained, the optimal firing mode was established, which allows to obtain pellets with high strength properties. Moreover, the value of the average diameter of the pellets, determined experimentally, is in good agreement with the value of the diameter obtained by calculation. Specific recommendations have been developed for producing pellets on conveyor machines (some of which have been introduced) at the Kachkanarsky GOK with high metallurgical properties.
