The game character of the modern Internet communication gives an opportunity for each author to have a set of certain masks used in writing. This paper analyzes linguistic modes for expressing the mask of "a chef" worn by the famous blogger Veronica Belotserkovskaya. This mask is considered to be a hybrid form, created at the intersection of culinary traditions of writing, including gender traditions. Special attention is paid to the transformations in standard procedures and forms of recipe recording in the thematic segment of the blog in comparison with printed culinary publications. We also describe speech techniques characteristic of the author's idiostyle, typical both of the mask of "a cook" and other masks, which contribute to the stylistic unity of different thematic blog segments.
