The purpose of the work is to determine the significance and place of scenario planning during the organization and conduct of special events This intention is determined by the relevance of the problem, due to the needs of the formation of a certain system of events of an event nature, the identification of its main parameters and criteria in connection with the increasing demand from firms (companies) for the provision of quality event services, as well as increased competition between agencies in the modern event market. The objectives of the study are to analyze the experience gained by Russian event agencies in compiling programs and scenarios for special events and to reveal strategies and technologies for their planning. The methodological basis of the study is the theory of event management. They allow revealing its specifics regarding the process of formation of mechanisms of non-material incentives for personnel and maintaining the image of companies by organizing various events and, in particular, improving their scenario component. The research methods include document analysis, observation included, methods of comparison, analysis and synthesis.
