Resumo

FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy of zinc, also disclosed method can be used for purification of waste water. Method of cleaning zinc sulphate solution from impurities by cementing with zinc dust consists in preliminary contact of solution with solid substance adsorbing organic components. Adsorbent used is montmorillonite modified with cationic surfactants. Content of surfactant in sorbent is up to 15 %, sorbent consumption is 100–800 mg/l, and duration of contact during sorption does not exceed 10 minutes. EFFECT: implementation of the proposed method makes it possible to increase efficiency of cementation during processing of zinc solutions by 20 %, to increase output of zinc by current by 14–23 %.
