FIELD: ceramics production. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing highly transparent crystalline ceramics, promising as optical and electronic components for optics, photonics and laser physics. The method for obtaining highly transparent crystalline ceramics based on two solid solutions of the AgBr - TlBr0,46I0,54 system includes crystalline solid solutions, characterized in that the salts AgBr and TlBr0,46I0,54 with a purity of 99.9999 wt. % is loaded into ampoules made of Pyrex glass with a conical bottom, melted at a temperature of 500-520°С, incubated for 2-3 hours while stirring the melt by low-frequency axial vibration in an installation that implements the vertical method for directional crystallization, after which the ampoule is moved at a speed of 6-8 mm per hour to the lower zone of the installation, which has a temperature of 260-280°С to form due to geometric selection of two solid solutions of cubic and rhombic phases in a ratio of 10:1, while, in the first version: the crystalline rhombic phase has the composition Tl2AgBr2I, and the cubic crystalline phase based on silver bromide and monovalent thallium halides contains AgBr and TlBr0,46I0,54 with the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%: silver bromide - 58.0-99.0; TlBr0,46I0,54 - 42.0-1.0, in the second variant: the crystalline rhombic phase has the composition AgTl2BrI2, and the cubic crystalline phase based on silver bromide and monovalent thallium halides contains AgBr and TlBr0,46I0,54 with the following ratio of ingredients, wt.%: silver bromide - 3.0-15.0; TlBr0.46I0.54 - 97.0-85.0. EFFECT: creation of transparent crystalline ceramics in a wide infrared range from 1.0 to 50.0 microns. 2 cl, 3 dwg.
