摘要
The book contains a systematic analysis of the historical development of Ural literature throughout the 19th century as a whole, while taking into account the diversity of the national artistic traditions characteristic of the peoples of the region. The authors trace the literary movement through an analysis of the creative individualities of writers and poets who were born and lived in the Urals (N. A. Durova, D. N. MaminSibiryak, F. M. Reshetnikov, I. A. Kuratov, G. E. Vereshchagin, M. S. Znamensky and others), and those who found themselves in the region as a result of circumstances beyond their control, but who left their mark on its culture (A. S. Pushkin, V. K. Küchelbecker, V. I. Dal, M. L. Mikhailov, L. N. Tolstoy and many others), as well as through the dynamic lens of artistic trends and styles. The book considers the images of the Urals in different genres of fiction and non-fiction. The region's literary life is represented by a review of periodicals, an analysis of published criticism of the authors' works, facts about the dramatic staging of their texts, information about literary and reading societies and libraries, publication of educational and religious literature, book sales, educational and cultural activities in the region, etc.
