摘要

The digital education development is already "prepared" by the needs of the younger generation, which grew up in the era of the "digital revolution". The socio-cultural features of a new anthropological type of personality ("Homo informaticus") were formed. "Homo informaticus" (socio-virtual type of person) positions itself in line with modern network communications with gadgets, robots and smart-technologies. The competition of world universities implies electronic educational technologies as a mandatory basis for strategic development. This is how the significant potential of the digital education industry in the Russian higher education system is formed. With the monitoring university rankings in the digitalization by basic indicators in 2020, the forced transition to emote forms due to the global pandemic of a new virus highlighted the Russian universities "weak links". The paper object is the specificity of the educational process for centential and trends, the organization and communications are active participants in the educational process. Based on the analysis of the centennial generation` perception and the opportunities for the university digital environment, the authors identify seven qualitatively new trends in the organization and method in the educational process. Further development of digital technologies will expand the possibilities of distance learning. Many prestigious foreign and Russian universities try to meet the demands of the dynamic labor market by developing professional retraining programs. Tough competition conditions provide an opportunity for universities to "work on mistakes" and build a strategy for interaction with a new target audience, taking into account the specifics of its perception. Professors will have to master further digital functionality, infographics and other visual methods to meet the needs of the younger generation.
