The work "Stressful situations and their overcoming" is aimed at the practical study of the behavior of the subject with the help of modern psychological techniques. The aim of the work was to determine the methods of protection and behavior of the subject in stressful situations for their effective overcoming. The following methods were used in the work: 1)Methods of diagnostics of typologies of psychological protection. 2) The study of individual coping strategies by E. Heim. 3) The technique of "Coping-behavior in stressful situations". Results: According to the results of the first method, the defense mechanism "denial" prevails, and according to the method "Coping-behavior in stressful situations", coping focused on "avoidance" prevails. Similarly, all the methods matched the results, indicating a low level of predominance of emotions. The subject tries to think rationally about the situation and find a way out of it, without resorting to emotional protection and behavior. Conclusions: It is assumed that the subject will have a stronger understanding of his psychological defense, and he will be able to use methods of coping with stress . Recommendations: In order to skillfully manage your own emotions and behavior, both in stressful situations and in more emotionally calm ones, you need to treat yourself, your body and soul with great respect and unconditional respect. And most importantly-to love yourself. It is important to master the basics of self-regulation with the help of arbitrary well-being management and controlled mood harmonization. Continue to develop in the direction of comprehending the miracle of transformative creativity of conscious development. The choice in the systematic replenishment of energy is always made by a person who knows himself, his needs and how to meet them.
